For shoe fanatics:
Is it possible to be a shoe freak without being a perpetually poor shoe freak? Yes, thanks to the lovely online marketplace called eBay, I am living proof that it is. I have over 300 + stiletto shoes ranging from inexpensive brands like Michael Antonio and Wild Rose to very pricey brands like Stuart Weitzman and Roger Vivier. Follow these tips and you will have shoes to your heart's desire.
When You Are Shopping for Shoes on eBay
1) The best way to find fantastic shoes is to not shop by brand name only. Many sellers do not list the brand name in the title of their listing. Maximize your search result by using great descriptive words in the eBay search box. For example use words like: Sexy, Haute Couture, Amazing, Fabulous, Exotic, Unique, Designer, Gorgeous etc.
2) If you know the name of the brand you are looking for then put the brand name in the search box and check the tab that reads "Search In title and description." Checking this box will give you much more detailed search results and you'll have a better chance of finding what you are looking for.
3) O.k. so you find this amazing pair of shoes and you want to get them at a great price. What do you do? Well, if there is less than five minutes left than bid on the shoe right away in $.25 cent increments till you outbid the current bidder. Never bid over what you actually can afford to pay. If there is the a significant amount of time left on the bid (more than 1 hour) I would suggest you wait to place a bid. Other bidders who want the same shoe will be watching and will counter bid you which will drive the price of the shoe up. So be patient and don't start bidding till there are 10 minutes or less on the bid,
4) Now if you are serious about winning a real designer shoe at a knock off price I recommend you use a Sniping Service. I personally use bidslammer.com Never heard of sniping? Well, once I tell you about sniping you probably never bid the regular way again. Basically a sniping service will place your bid 4-7 seconds before the bid ends. This is great because it does not give the competitor time to outbid you. How much does sniping cost? Only about 2% of the purchase price and the max they ever charge is usually $5 bucks. That's it!!! The best thing about sniping is you do not have to stay locked to your computer waiting for an auction to end when you're shopping for shoes on eBay. The down side is you have to bid high enough because you also will not have enough time to raise your bid before the auction closes.
